‘Xinjiang Is a Wonderful Land’ takes shape at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center

The “Xinjiang is a Wonderful Land” evening at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center offered a unique artistic and cultural experience, showcasing the rich heritage and culture of Xinjiang through music, dance, and traditional costumes. It transported the audience to a realm of incomparable beauty and diversity, inviting them on a captivating journey through time and space.

His Excellency Zhang Jianwei, the Ambassador of China to the country, explained that this evening is not only a celebration of art and culture but also a bridge that connects peoples and enhances cultural understanding and communication. He described it as a rich cultural journey to the heart of Xinjiang, the region located in the far west of China, known for its ethnic diversity and unique culture.

In his speech, he added that China’s Xinjiang boasts wonderful natural landscapes, an ancient history, and a brilliant culture, emphasizing its safe and stable environment for development. Likening Xinjiang to pomegranate seeds, he noted that it has long been known as “a homeland for the art of music and dance,” highlighting that this artistic evening was an opportunity to showcase this cultural diversity through a series of musical performances, traditional dances, and folk costumes.

The ambassador added that in recent years, Chinese President Xi Jinping and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah have held two successful meetings, which have charted the course of the strategic partnership between China and Kuwait. China has always attached great importance to enhancing understanding between the peoples of the two countries and achieving common development through cultural exchanges.

Ambassador Jianwei expressed confidence that our artistic evening will provide Kuwaiti friends with a vivid experience to discover the endeavors of the ethnic groups in Xinjiang for a better life in the new era. It will also enhance mutual exchange and understanding between the two peoples and contribute to deepening the traditional friendship between the two countries.
