The United Nations World Tourism Organization said today that global tourism is expected to fully recover in 2024 from the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the number of international tourists is likely to increase by two percent compared to 2019.
The organization added that the increase in the number of flights and the recovery of Asian markets will allow for a full return of tourism activities around the world this year, although geopolitical instability in the Middle East and other regions poses a threat to the tourism sector because it may affect individuals’ desire to implement their travel plans.
