Worker slits wrist in apparent suicide attempt, investigation underway

An expatriate domestic worker, who is in his thirties, was rushed to the Jahra Hospital after he apparently attempted to end his life, and is now receiving urgent medical care under police guard.

According to the Ministry of Interior, when operations room received an emergency report that a worker had attempted to take his own life by slitting his wrist, rescue teams rushed to the site of the incident and took the man to the hospital, reports Al-Anba daily.

The authorities have yet to determine the motives or circumstances that led to the attempt. An investigation is currently underway to understand the context of the incident.

The man remains under medical supervision while police continue to gather details. His condition is not known, but sources say his life was saved thanks to the swift response from emergency services.

The authorities will evaluate whether further legal or psychological support measures are needed once the man recovers.
