West Papua rattled by 5.93 earthquake at 10km depth

Papua, Indonesia, today, according to the German Research Institute for Geosciences (GFZ).

The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, indicating a relatively shallow epicenter, which may increase the likelihood of surface-level shaking. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, according to news reports.
