Weapons, explosives, smoke bombs found in manhole

Technicians from the General Department of Weapons Investigation have verified that the weapons, explosives, and smoke bombs discovered in sewage manhole at a secondary school in the Sabah Al-Salem area were remnants from the Iraqi invasion, having endured damage over more than three decades.

The school administration had reported the findings to the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior, indicating that maintenance work in the sewage manholes had uncovered these items, reports Al-Anba daily.

Upon receiving the report, security and investigation personnel rushed to the location and recovered the ammunition in preparation for their destruction, adhering to specific standards and protocols.
