“We will be ready before the tournament”

The Minister of Information, Culture, and Youth, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, officially launched preparations for the 26th Gulf Cup football tournament

Minister of Information, Culture, and Youth, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, has unveiled a comprehensive strategy for the upcoming 26th Gulf Cup football tournament, which Kuwait is set to host.

The launch event, held at the Sheikh Jaber Cultural Center, was attended by a large number of sports enthusiasts, reports Al-Jarida newspaper.

In a captivating film titled “One Goal,” the minister highlighted the tournament’s rich history and its role in fostering unity among Gulf nations. Minister Al-Mutairi emphasized that while Kuwait’s sporting journey has had its challenges, a clear strategy, supported by the country’s leadership, has set the stage for this significant event.

The minister announced a strategic partnership between the Gulf Cup Federation and Zain, a leading telecommunications company.

He further highlighted the government’s commitment to training national human resources and collaborating with international companies to ensure a world-class event.

“We have 2,200 volunteers and have completed 200 construction projects. We have also prepared 8 training grounds, and the completion rate exceeds 70%. We will be ready before the tournament,” the minister affirmed.

In order to accommodate the expected influx of spectators, the minister announced plans to provide 20,000 parking spaces at Jaber Stadium. Additionally, a variety of tourism-related activities are being planned, and the tournament will be broadcast in collaboration with other channels.
