Wafra Real Estate unveils ambitious plan for Sharq Market’s 2025 launch
The plan introduces new solutions and upgrades to improve the visitor experience, marking a major transformation in the New Year, with a focus on national contributions benefiting investors and shoppers.

Nasser Adnan Al-Rawdan, Director of the Commercial Real Estate Department at Wafra Real Estate Company, announced that the company has crafted an ambitious plan to develop and market Sharq, set to launch in early 2025. The plan includes introducing new solutions and improvements tailored to meet the needs of its visitors, according to Al Rai newspaper.
Al-Rawdan’s remarks came during a press conference held by Wafra Real Estate to announce the launch of a fan area at the Sharq Market Walk, in partnership with UCS Group (Basha Market), Best Production Company, and Al-Kas Channel. The event coincides with the “GulfiyZain 26″ championship, held from December 21 to January 3.
Al-Rawdan explained that the company has begun upgrading several areas of the market to a high standard, noting that this development will mark the beginning of a major transformation in the New Year.
He also highlighted that the company has adopted an ambitious marketing plan for Sharq Market, based on a strategy that emphasizes national contributions, benefiting both investors and shoppers.
He stated that Sharq Market is one of the top entertainment destinations in Kuwait, attracting significant crowds, especially during various events. He noted that the market features a wide range of luxury restaurants, cafes, and projects from different Gulf countries, all of which will be accompanied by fans at Souq Sharq.
Al-Rawdan added that Wafra Real Estate’s decision to launch the fan area reflects its commitment to supporting major sports events and competitions, further enhancing its leading and developmental role in society.
He also pointed out that the area will host various unique events and activities organized by participating companies, emphasizing that visitors will enjoy an exceptional experience, immersing themselves in the unique sports atmosphere throughout the tournament.
Al-Rawdan pointed out that the “Zain Gulf Championship 26” is the most important event at the Gulf level, contributing to strengthening Kuwait’s sports status regionally. He emphasized that this tournament is not just a sporting event, but a platform that reflects the brotherly spirit and noble values that unite the Gulf countries.
During the conference, artist Khaled Al-Muzaffar spoke about the event, stressing that keeping pace with the Gulf 26 activities requires collective cooperation, reflecting the significance of the event and Kuwait’s role. He also noted that the presence of delegations from Gulf countries symbolizes the historical and friendly relations shared by all.
Al-Muzaffar praised the youth talent at Wafra Real Estate, expecting that the technical activities provided will yield very positive results.
Meanwhile, Abdul Fattah Samara, the official of “BashaMarket,” mentioned that multiple displays and daily programs will be offered to attract the public and provide the best services. He added that the cafes and restaurants will create a “Mubarakiya” atmosphere in a miniature form, with a reservation app available for convenience.
