During a meeting with senior representatives of leading Kuwaiti media organizations, the delegation leader emphasized the multi-dimensional strategic partnership between India and Kuwait. In his remarks, Shri Panda underlined the robust security and counter-terrorism cooperation between the two countries. He expressed appreciation for Kuwait’s support and solidarity, while stressing that the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam was a calculated attempt to disrupt peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated India’s policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism and the adoption of a ‘New Normal’ approach, reaffirming that combatting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations remains a national priority.
The delegation also engaged with representatives of Indian regional media based in Kuwait. These discussions reinforced India’s national consensus and unwavering resolve to counter terrorism globally and domestically.
In a notable cultural engagement, the delegation visited the special exhibition titled “Rihla-e-Dosti: 250 Years of India-Kuwait Friendship” at the National Library of Kuwait.
The exhibition featured a distinguished collection of rare manuscripts, ancient books, historical coins, and cultural artefacts, underscoring the longstanding and deep-rooted people-to-people connections between the two nations.
The delegation concluded its highly productive and impactful visit by effectively conveying India’s message of Zero Tolerance and the New Normal on terrorism to a broad spectrum of interlocutors in Kuwait, including government officials, civil society representatives, media professionals, think-tanks, opinion leaders, and members of the Indian diaspora.
