‘Visit a reflection of strong historical ties, strategic partnership between Kuwait and Egypt’

Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait, Osama Shaltout, emphasizing on the significance of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s state visit to Kuwait, called it a reflection of the strong historical ties and strategic partnership between the two countries. He praised the warm welcome extended by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, considering it a testament to the depth of relations between the leaderships and peoples of Egypt and Kuwait.

In an interview with KUNA, Shaltout noted that the visit comes at a critical regional and international juncture, reinforcing the need for Arab unity. He highlighted that the summit between President Sisi and His Highness the Amir will focus on boosting cooperation in key sectors like investment, trade, energy, and labor, as well as discussing pressing regional issues such as the Palestinian cause, Gaza, and the situations in Sudan, Libya, and Yemen.

He stressed the near-total alignment of Egypt and Kuwait’s foreign policy positions and praised the continuous coordination at all diplomatic levels. The ambassador also lauded Kuwait’s consistent humanitarian efforts and strong support for Arab causes, especially through international organizations and forums.

Shaltout expressed appreciation for Kuwait’s role in hosting the Egyptian community and acknowledged the historic ties of solidarity between the two peoples. He concluded by affirming the importance of continued high-level visits to deepen bilateral relations and unify Arab efforts in the face of current challenges.
