Vietnam Premier tours Al-Zour refinery, reviews Kuwait’s clean fuel capabilities

The Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, visited the Al-Zour Refinery on Monday, where he met with Wadha Ahmed Al-Khatib, CEO of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC).
During a tour of the refinery, the Vietnamese Prime Minister received a comprehensive briefing from KNPC officials on the facility’s production of petroleum derivatives, its role in supplying local power plants with clean fuel, and the environmental standards and requirements implemented in refinery operations, reports Al-Rai daily.
Prime Minister Chinh was accompanied by Sheikh Dr. Basel Hamoud Al-Sabah, Advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister and head of the honorary delegation, along with Yousef Ashour Al-Sabbagh, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Vietnam, and senior refinery officials.
The visit underscored the growing cooperation between Kuwait and Vietnam in key energy sectors.
