Victorious FAIPS brings home coveted KITCO Quiz Cup

In the 29th edition of the KITCO Interschool Quiz 2025 competition which was held on Friday, September 19, at the Innova International School, Mahboula, FAIPS triumphed with an outstanding performance.

The event brought together some of the brightest young minds from the Indian schools in Kuwait. The competition saw spirited participation from 36 teams representing 18 Indian schools across the country.

FAIPS emerged as the undisputed champion, securing a resounding victory with a remarkable 150 points in the finals. The winning team, consisting of Swajit Biswas (Grade VIII) and Adithi Bipin (Grade VII), impressed with their exceptional knowledge, quick thinking, and composure under pressure, ultimately clinching the title in style.

In the preliminary rounds, FAIPS teams dominated the scoreboard. The second FAIPS team, represented by Gerson Franklin (Grade VIII) and Jude Saju (Grade VII), finished second in the preliminary round.

However, as per the competition rules allowing only one team per school in the finals, they were ineligible to compete further. Their excellent performance was nonetheless acknowledged and praised by the quizmaster, Mr. Barry O’Brien.

Mr. O’Brien, a renowned quizmaster, was joined by his daughter, Ms. Riasa O’Brien, an accomplished educator and quizmaster, who ensured the event remained lively, engaging, and intellectually stimulating throughout.

FAIPS’s winning team showcased a steady and tactful approach, steadily climbing to the top with their strategic gameplay and impressive depth of knowledge. Their commanding performance of 150 points in the finals not only reflected individual brilliance but also highlighted the school’s enduring legacy in the quizzing arena.

On behalf of the school management, Principal Mr. Ravi Ayanoli congratulated the winners, lauding their phenomenal achievement. He emphasized that the victory was a result of both the students’ dedication and the tireless support of senior student mentors and Quiz Club teachers who meticulously prepared the teams.

This remarkable win reinforces FAIPS’s reputation as a powerhouse in the Indian school quizzing circuit, continuing its legacy of excellence, intellectual rigor, and inspiring achievement.
