Vatican Congratulates Kuwait on National and Liberation Days

On the joyous occasion of the National Day and Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait, I extend to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, to the Government and to the beloved people of Kuwait my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.

Over the years, Kuwait has witnessed remarkable progress, marked by vision, resilience and commitment to development, stability and humanitarian leadership.

The recent visit of His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See (Prime Minister), when the Church of Our Lady of Arabia in Ahmadi was raised to the dignity of a Minor Basilica, stands as a further testament to Kuwait’s longstanding tradition of openness and interreligious coexistence.

I pray that Almighty God will continue to bestow abundant blessings upon the State of Kuwait, granting the nation enduring prosperity, peace and harmony.
