Uzbek President arrives in Kuwait on official visit

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah hosted President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his delegation at Bayan Palace, where official talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Kuwait and Uzbekistan in various fields.

• The talks between His Highness the Amir Sheikh MeshalAl-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev focused on expanding cooperation between the two countries across key areas to serve common interests, fostering understanding and friendship, and addressing mutual concerns in a positive and collaborative manner.

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Kuwait on Monday with his official delegation for an official visit, as reported by Al Jarida newspaper.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah were present at the airport to welcome him.

Sheikh Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of the Kuwait National Guard; Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Advisor at the Amiri Diwan; Shereeda Al-Mousherji, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs; Abdullah Al-Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and other senior state officials were also present on the occasion.

The Honor Mission accompanying the President was formed by the Amiri Diwan, headed by Advisor Mohammed Abu Al-Hassan.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received the President of Uzbekistan and his official delegation at Bayan Palace. Official talks were held between the two sides, with the Kuwaiti delegation chaired by His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, the Acting Prime Minister, the Minister of Interior, and senior state officials.

On behalf of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and senior officials of the Uzbek government participated in the talks.

Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah stated that the talks focused on bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and peoples, as well as ways to strengthen and develop these relations in various fields. The discussions aimed to expand cooperation frameworks between Kuwait and Uzbekistan to serve their common interests and address key issues of mutual concern.

The talks took place in a friendly atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of understanding and friendship that characterizes the strong relations between the two countries. This meeting further demonstrates both sides’ desire to strengthen existing cooperation across all areas.

The President of Uzbekistan is accompanied by an official delegation, including Aziz Magrobav, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Odilovich Saidov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Taylim Kadtov, Minister of Agriculture Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, and other senior officials from the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
