US Defence Secretary congratulates Al-Yousef
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, engaged in a phone conversation with his counterpart, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
During the call, they discussed various topics of mutual interest and explored avenues to strengthen cooperation and collaboration between Kuwait and the United States. They also reviewed significant developments on both regional and international fronts, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The conversation took place as a congratulatory gesture from Secretary Austin to Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef on assuming his new responsibilities as Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior. Secretary Austin expressed gratitude to Kuwait for its continued support in fostering bilateral relations between the two countries.
In response, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef expressed his appreciation for the call and the positive sentiments conveyed by his American counterpart.
He emphasized the enduring depth and strength of the relationship between Kuwait and the United States. Additionally, Sheikh Fahd extended an open invitation to Secretary Austin to visit Kuwait at a mutually convenient time.
