US Carries Out Strikes on Multiple Iranian Targets After Trump Vows to Hit Tehran ‘Very Hard’

The United States launched a fresh wave of military strikes against multiple targets in Iran on Thursday, hours after President Donald Trump warned that Tehran would face severe military action if negotiations on a peace agreement continue to stall.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the operation targeted Iranian military surveillance systems, communications infrastructure, and air defense sites in what the military described as self-defense strikes conducted in response to Iran’s “unwarranted and continued aggression.” The strikes involved assets from the US Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps.

The latest military action follows an earlier exchange of fire between the two countries after Iran allegedly downed a US Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz, prompting retaliatory American strikes.

Speaking at the White House, Trump said the United States would continue military operations while pursuing diplomatic efforts with Tehran.

“We’re going to be attacking them very hard,” Trump said, while reiterating that Washington remains committed to securing an agreement that would prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also warned Iran against further escalation, describing the latest operations as defensive measures aimed at protecting American personnel and interests in the region. He stressed that the administration remains focused on achieving a lasting agreement with Tehran.
