UNHCR congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National & Liberation days

I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of Kuwait on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of independence and 34th anniversary of liberation.

We at UNHCR appreciate the long-lasting partnership we have with the State of Kuwait, where we have been present in Kuwait for more than 30 years and witnessed its humanitarian leadership and diplomacy.

The positive impact of the assistance provided by the State of Kuwait through UNHCR has helped tens of millions of refugees around the world during times of worst humanitarian crises, like in Syria, Bangladesh, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, Ukraine and Afghanistan.

We at UNHCR rely on partners like the government of Kuwait to continue its support to humanitarian emergencies like Syria and Sudan.
