The United Kingdom announced on Friday the temporary withdrawal of its diplomatic staff from Iran, citing security concerns as the war between Iran and Israel entered its eighth day.
“In light of the current security situation, we have taken precautionary measures to temporarily withdraw UK staff from Iran,” the British Foreign Office stated.
Despite the withdrawal, the statement confirmed that “our embassy continues to operate remotely,” said the Foreign Office statement according to Al-Rai daily.
