UIS guides Grade X students toward future success with comprehensive career program
The United Indian School (UIS) in Kuwait reaffirmed its dedication to holistic student development by organizing an in-depth Career Guidance Program for Grade X students on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
Held at the UIS Auditorium, the full-day initiative equipped students with essential knowledge to explore diverse academic pathways and make informed choices for their future studies.
Expert-Led Insights on Career Planning
The seminar was led by renowned career mentor Jomy P. L, Director of the Sensorium Center for Advanced Learning in Thrissur and Chief Mentor at IMS Learning Center.
Drawing on extensive global experience, he offered students and parents valuable, future-focused guidance. Jomy emphasized aligning each student’s strengths, aptitude, and interests with realistic and sustainable career options.
He outlined the various academic streams available after Grade X and explained subject combinations and routes for Classes XI and XII.
The following were the key topics:
Stream Selection — Choosing Science, Commerce, or Humanities based on capability, genuine interest, and academic performance.
Academic Pathways — Information on advanced courses, entrance exams, and pathways to leading national and international universities.
Career Trends — Insights into emerging fields, job market prospects, and projected earning potential.
Interactive Sessions with Strong Participation
The sessions were conducted class-wise from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, following a well-structured schedule.
The students and parents actively engaged throughout, raising questions about admissions, evolving career fields, and subject selection.
Jomy concluded by highlighting the importance of clear goals, continuous skill development, and making thoughtful decisions at this critical stage.
Personalized Career Counseling
In addition to the main program, UIS held one-on-one counseling sessions for registered students and parents on November 20 and 21.
These personalized consultations offered tailored academic roadmaps, helping families identify the most suitable subject combinations and long-term higher education plans.
