UIS bids farewell to Grade XII batch of 2024-25 in heartfelt ceremony

The event began at 10:30 AM with the recitation of the Holy Quran and its translation, followed by the Kuwait National Anthem.

The farewell ceremony for the Grade XII students of the 2024-25 academic year took place on February 1, at the United Indian School (UIS) campus.

The event began at 10:30 AM with the recitation of the Holy Quran and its translation, followed by the Kuwait National Anthem. A soulful prayer song by the children’s choir set a reverent tone, leading into a heartfelt prayer by Mrs. Aswathy Vishak, Class Teacher of XII B.

Mr. Sojan Sebastian, Grade XII Class Coordinator, delivered the welcome speech, setting the stage for an inspiring gathering. The keynote address by Senior Principal Mr. Radhakrishnan C was both motivational and thought-provoking, encouraging students to strive for excellence and embrace challenges with confidence. His words instilled courage and determination in the students as they prepared for their future endeavors.

Representing the graduating class, Miss Alona BijuNilakkapillil shared her cherished memories and experiences at UIS, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the school for being a guiding light in their journey.

Mrs. Reshmi Elizabeth Zacharia, Primary Vice Principal, delivered a blessing message, offering words of encouragement and instilling confidence in the students as they approach their board examinations.

A highlight of the event was the ‘Lighting of the Lamp’ and ‘Passing the Torch’ ceremony, led by Mrs. Mary Litty, Vice Principal. This symbolic ritual saw the Principal, Vice Principals, and teachers pass the flame of wisdom to the students, urging them to carry forward the light of knowledge and success.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Master Varun Karunakaran, the School Captain.

The Nalanda Scholarships for Academic Excellence were awarded to the following students:

Special recognitions:

Master Noyal Thomas Alex (Grade XII, 2024-25) was named the Most Outstanding Outgoing Sportsman. Master Hashil Unus (Grade XII, 2024-25) received the title of Most Outstanding Outgoing Student (Science Stream), while Master Abiel Charuvil Mathew (Grade XII, 2024-25) was honored as Most Outstanding Outgoing Student (Commerce Stream).

The farewell event was a heartfelt send-off, celebrating the students’ achievements and preparing them for the next phase of their lives. As they embark on this new chapter, UIS extends its best wishes for their bright future.
