UAE President Sheikh Mohamad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation under the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the discussions took place during official talks held in Abu Dhabi as part of Modi’s official visit to the UAE.
The two sides affirmed their commitment to advancing cooperation and expanding their development partnership in ways that support sustainable growth and prosperity for both nations.
The talks reviewed progress achieved in bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, energy, space, food security, technology, and artificial intelligence, among other sectors supporting the development priorities of both countries.
The two leaders also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly developments in the Middle East and their implications for regional and international peace and security, as well as impacts on maritime security, energy supplies, and the global economy.
WAM added that Modi renewed India’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting civilians, civilian facilities, and infrastructure in the UAE, describing them as a violation of the country’s sovereignty and international law.
