UAE–Kuwait Economic Forum opens to boost trade, investment and strategic partnership

‘Brothers Forever’ Week highlights deepening UAE–Kuwait economic ties; Al Zeyoudi, Al-Ajeel to lead UAE–Kuwait Forum on future growth and cooperation

The UAE–Kuwait Economic Forum begins Monday as part of the “UAE and Kuwait… Brothers Forever” week, which runs until the 4th of this month across various emirates. The event aims to strengthen economic, trade and investment ties while underscoring the deep historical bonds uniting the two nations and their peoples.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the forum reflects the directives of the leadership of both countries to celebrate their fraternal relations and strategic partnership. It serves as a key platform to explore investment opportunities, boost trade in vital sectors, exchange views on economic developments, and open new avenues for joint cooperation.

The forum also seeks to support entrepreneurs, showcase success stories from both countries, and examine the future of bilateral relations in a way that reflects the strength of their historical and economic ties.

UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi said the deeply rooted fraternal relations between the UAE and Kuwait provide a solid foundation for building more sustainable trade and investment cooperation. He noted that this will help establish quality partnerships between business communities, broaden opportunities for investors, and enhance supply chain integration across sectors such as trade, industry, the new economy, renewable energy and logistics.

Al Zeyoudi described the forum as a pivotal step in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries at both commercial and investment levels. He said it supports the leaderships’ vision of building an integrated economic model based on diversification, expanded trade and investment prospects, and private sector empowerment.

He added that the forum offers a strategic platform to exchange ideas on the future of both economies, explore joint growth opportunities, and develop partnership mechanisms in priority sectors to enhance economic resilience and keep pace with global transformations.

The forum will be inaugurated by Al Zeyoudi and Kuwait’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel, who will deliver keynote speeches reviewing the progress of economic and trade relations and ways to further develop cooperation in support of sustainable development.

The agenda includes dialogue sessions with officials, ambassadors, business leaders and media representatives from both countries. Discussions will cover the Gulf economy, entrepreneurship, regional corporate experiences, banking integration, and historical and social models that have strengthened Emirati–Kuwaiti partnership over the decades.
