U.S. jets intercept second civilian aircraft over Trump’s resort in two days

For the second consecutive day, U.S. fighter jets intercepted a civilian aircraft that violated restricted airspace over President Donald Trump’s resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, according to a statement from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

The aircraft was intercepted after entering the no-fly zone above the resort where Trump was spending the weekend.

NORAD reported via its official account on X today that “fighter jets were dispatched to intercept the civilian aircraft, which had breached the restricted airspace.”

The jets deployed flares as a warning signal. The pilot promptly responded and exited the restricted zone without further incident.

This marks the second such interception near Trump’s location over the weekend.

NORAD has urged general aviation pilots to carefully review airspace restrictions prior to departure — particularly when flying near designated no-fly zones — to avoid similar high-risk encounters.
