U.S. Embassy urges its citizens to consider overland departure amid regional tensions

The United States Embassy in Kuwait said it is closely monitoring the evolving security situation in the Middle East and will continue to provide updates to American citizens to help them make informed decisions regarding their safety.
In a statement, the embassy affirmed that the safety and security of U.S. citizens remain the highest priority for the U.S. administration, noting that President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the United States Department of State are giving the matter their full attention.
The embassy explained that commercial flights are currently not operating from Kuwait due to the ongoing threat posed by missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks.
It added that in light of reports of potential threats targeting locations where American citizens may be present, and given the continued availability of overland commercial travel options, the embassy does not plan to organize additional charter flights for U.S. citizens at this time.
However, the embassy indicated that overland routes remain open to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where commercial flights are continuing to depart from the region. American citizens in Kuwait were strongly advised to consider leaving via these overland routes if they believe it is safe to do so.
The embassy urged U.S. nationals to stay informed and follow official updates for the latest guidance on travel and security developments.
