Two men arrested with heroin, alcohol, referred to drug control dept

The Hawalli rescue police have arrested two and seized from them a bottle of whisky and two sachets of heroin.

A security source the arrest came during a routine security check in Salmiya. The officers reported stopped a four-wheel drive on suspicion with two men inside, while checking their IDs, it became both men showed abnormal behavior.

Further investigations revealed one of them had a history of drug consumption and when and further inquiry about his past offenses, the individual allegedly attempted to thrown out a sachet suspected to contain heroin.

The authorities then searched the vehicle, and found another sachet with traces of heroin and a bottle of imported alcohol.

The two men were then handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation, while the seized substances were secured as evidence.
