Two local booze manufacturing dens busted, seven arrested
The Ministry of Interior announced that the Criminal Security Sector has arrested arrest 7 people running two local liquor factories and trading in them.
The Public Relations and Security Media Department said that the Al-Ahmadi Governorate Investigation Department and the Capital Investigation Department were able to arrest them in two separate incidents on charges of manufacturing and trafficking in “home-made” alcohol.
The security authorities have seized 181 barrels containing raw material, 413 bottles ready for sale, 4 distillation devices and manufacturing tools were found.
The suspects have been referred to the Directorate-General for Drugs and Alcohol Control.
