Two hunters arrested for illegally entering Sabah Al-Ahmad Nature Reserve

The Security Directorates Sector, of the Environmental Police Department, arrested two individuals for illegally entering the Sabah Al-Ahmad Nature Reserve without an official permit to hunt wildlife
using trained falcons.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the offenders were detected inside the reserve during a routine patrol.
Legal procedures were promptly initiated in accordance with environmental protection laws aimed at safeguarding biodiversity and preventing activities harmful to natural habitats, reports Al-Rai daily.
Article (105) of the Environmental Protection Law strictly prohibits introducing non-native animals or plants into nature reserves, or carrying out any actions that could harm wildlife or marine life, damage the contents of the reserves, or obstruct efforts to protect the environment.
Violators of this article face imprisonment for up to one year and/or a fine ranging from 500 to 5,000 dinars, depending on the gravity of the offense.
The two suspects have been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
