Two drug addicts nabbed by Ahmadi patrols in overnight raids

Ahmadi security patrols continue to tighten the grip on drug-related activities, referring two individuals — a Kuwaiti youth and an expatriate — to the Directorate-General for Drugs Control after separate arrests in Abu Halifa and Ali Sabah Al-Salem.
In the first incident, a young man in his twenties was caught in Abu Halifa late at night, from inside a vehicle suspiciously parked near a residential building and appeared to be under the influence of drugs, according to Al-Anba daily,
As patrol units approached, the man attempted to lie low in his car seat, raising officers’ suspicions. A preliminary report confirmed he was intoxicated, and a search revealed a bag containing shabu, along with drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, the backup patrols of the Ahmadi Security Directorate have taken into custody an expatriate in the Ali Sabah Al-Salem area, also under the influence of drugs.
Officers had flagged his vehicle during a routine patrol and forced it to stop. Upon investigation, the man was found to be wanted in a criminal case, and a search uncovered narcotic substances (shabu and chemicals) along with additional drug tools.
Both suspects have been handed over to the DGDC along with the confiscated substances and paraphernalia.
