Two moderate earthquakes measuring 4.7 and 4.0 on the Richter scale struck Bushehr province in southern Iran over the past two days.
The Seismological Center at the University of Tehran reported that the most recent tremor occurred at 7:24 a.m. local time, with its epicenter located 21 kilometers below sea level, reports Al-Rai daily.
The area near Asaluyeh, known for its energy infrastructure, experienced the seismic events without disruption, as authorities confirm continued operational safety and public security.
Despite the tremors, Iranian authorities remain on alert, continuing to monitor seismic activity in the region as part of ongoing preparedness measures.
