Trump tells tech giants show ‘Patriotism, Loyalty’ in AI race for offshore expansion

. . . 'No More Factories in China, Jobs in India'

U.S. President Donald Trump lashed out at American technology firms for outsourcing jobs and manufacturing during a speech at the AI Summit on Wednesday, where he signed three executive orders aimed at strengthening U.S. leadership in Artificial Intelligence.

“For too long, much of our tech industry has followed a path of radical globalism,” Trump said, accusing companies of building factories in China, hiring workers in India, and shifting profits to Ireland while turning their backs on American workers.

“Under President Trump, those days are over,” he declared. “Winning the AI race will require a new spirit of patriotism and national loyalty—not only in Silicon Valley but far beyond it.”

Trump emphasized that U.S. tech companies must now prioritize national interests: “We need you to be all in for America. That’s all we ask — put America first.”

Among the measures signed were:

  • A White House AI Action Plan to guide national policy on artificial intelligence,
  • A directive establishing a coordinated federal effort to support U.S. AI innovation,
  • And an executive order promoting the export of full-stack American AI technology packages.

Trump’s remarks reflect a continued emphasis on reshoring jobs and confronting foreign influence in critical tech sectors — core themes of his economic nationalism agenda.
