U.S. President Donald Trump launched a fresh attack on Iran in a post on his Truth Social platform, accusing Tehran of deceiving the United States and the international community for nearly five decades.
Trump claimed Iran had used delaying tactics in its dealings with Washington and criticized former President Barack Obama over his administration’s policies toward Tehran, alleging that Iran received extensive financial benefits during his presidency.
In the post, Trump alleged that billions of dollars, including cash payments, were transferred to Iran under the Obama administration, describing the move as a major concession that strengthened Tehran politically and economically.
The former president also accused Iran of supporting violence against Americans and suppressing domestic protests, while reiterating his hardline stance against the Iranian government.
Trump concluded his remarks by declaring that Iran “will be laughing no longer,” while emphasizing his “Make America Great Again” agenda.
The statement comes amid continued tensions between Washington and Tehran over regional security, sanctions, and Iran’s nuclear activities.
