Trucks, heavy vehicles off the road between 8:30 and 10:30 am; from 12:30 to 3:00 pm during Ramadan

The Directorate-General of Traffic, announced an amendment to truck movement restrictions during the holy month of Ramadan.

Under the revised schedule, movement of trucks and similar heavy vehicles are forbidden on roads between 8:30 am and 10:30 am, and again from 12:30 pm until 3:00 pm.

In a press statement, the General Traffic Department said the decision aims to maintain smoother traffic flow and reduce congestion during Ramadan, when road usage patterns change significantly due to working hours, shopping activity, and increased movement before iftar, reports Al-Rai daily.

The authorities emphasized that the measure is part of ongoing traffic management efforts to enhance road safety and ensure better mobility during the holy month.
