“Transportation Ministry” opens internal transport access, prioritizing people with disabilities and new residents

The Ministry of Transport announced, on Sunday, the opening of internal transport for its employees wishing to move between its organisational units, with priority given to the requests of people with special needs, and the residents of the new residential areas.

“Mouwalat” said in a press release that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, M. Meshaal Al-Zaid, issued an administrative decision authorising the mobility of employees in two periods:

The first of which, starts from today, 27 October, and will continue until 7 November 2024. This will include people with special needs, the residents of the new residential areas “Sabah Al-Ahmad – Al-Wafra Residential – Al-Khairan”, as well as those who had applied for the waiver of the job title for the purpose of moving to another department.

Whereas, the second period will include, all the employees, beginning from the period, 17 November to 19 December 2024.

The decision allowed all employees wishing internal transportation, to submit the transfer application in accordance with the controls and conditions guaranteed by the decision and published on the Ministry’s website: https://moc.gov.kw.

Moreover, the above mentioned website will regulate the transfer process between the Ministry’s various sectors and departments.

According to the statement, the decision gave some categories priority transportation, including people with special needs, “out of the Ministry’s belief in the importance of this segment in society, by providing a suitable working environment.

This is being done so that it meets their needs, supports their capabilities and facilitates their access to closer workplaces,” as well as the residents of the areas of “Sabah Al-Ahmad – Al-Wafra Residential – Al-Khairan” within the framework of “supporting the new areas with qualified functional cadres and achieving balanced development, in an effort to facilitate their access to their workplace effortlessly”.
