Traffic citations issued, arrests made, vehicles seized during major highway crackdown

The Ministry of Interior announced that a large-scale joint traffic and security campaign conducted early Sunday morning on Kuwait’s highways, resulted in the issuance of 506 traffic violations.
The campaign was led by the field departments of the Traffic and Operations Sector, of the General Traffic Department and the Directorate General of Rescue Police, which involved a widespread deployment of patrols. The operation focused on monitoring road safety, apprehending violators, and maintaining public order, reports Al-Rai daily.
In addition to the traffic citations, authorities seized 10 vehicles for serious violations, three vehicles wanted by the judiciary, arrested five persons wanted by law, and three for not carrying identity documents.
The campaign also resulted in the arrest of three juveniles for driving without licenses, one person reported absconding, and two in possession of suspected narcotic and intoxicating substances.
