Traffic campaigns in Capital Governorate result in 7,658 violations and multiple arrests

The Capital Governorate General Traffic Department recorded 7,658 traffic violations during a series of inspection campaigns conducted across several areas.
The campaigns targeted vehicles and motorcycles violating traffic laws, with a particular focus on illegal overtaking, obstruction of traffic, and other hazardous driving behaviors.
According to a statement issued by the GTD Public Relations and Security Media Department, the operations led to:
- 7,658 various traffic violations,
- 594 violations related to overtaking rules and traffic obstruction,
- the arrest of 17 violators of residency and labor laws,
- the referral of 11 wanted individuals to the competent authorities,
- the detention of 11 people, and
- the seizure of 19 vehicles and motorcycles for serious violations.
The statement affirmed that field campaigns by the General Traffic Department will continue across all governorates, urging motorists to adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations to protect their lives and those of others on the road.
