Three persons, dependents lose citizenship

The Council of Ministers has issued a decision, published today in the official gazette Kuwait Alyawm, to revoke the citizenship of three persons, along with those who obtained it through dependency.

The action is based on Article 21 bis (A) of Amiri Decree No. 15 of 1959 on the Kuwaiti Citizenship Law and its amendments.

Under this provision, citizenship may be withdrawn if it is proven to have been granted unlawfully through fraud, false statements, or forged documents, reports Al-Rai daily.
