Three Decades of Excellence: Gulf Indian School Marks 30th Anniversary

The Gulf Indian School (GIS) in Kuwait marked a significant milestone on February 4, 2024, as it celebrated its 30th anniversary with grandeur at the GIS Auditorium. The atmosphere was brimming with prestige and enthusiasm as Mr. Sreekumar Pillai, the esteemed Chief Guest and Manager of GIS, and Dr. Beji Jaison, a renowned pediatrician from City Clinic, Fahaheel, graced the occasion. Alongside them, heads of other CBSE schools in Kuwait, parents, and well-wishers contributed to the jubilant ambiance.

The festivities commenced with a warm greeting from Head Girl Anamika Santhosh, laying the foundation for a captivating journey through the school’s illustrious history through a dynamic PowerPoint presentation. Mr. Sreekumar Pillai received well-deserved recognition for his leadership and visionary guidance that steered the school towards success.

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of a commemorative magazine, LEGACY, containing a wealth of articles chronicling the school’s evolution, faculty contributions, alumni achievements, and insightful student write-ups. Dr. S. Prashant Vasudev, the Principal, was honored with a prestigious award for his unwavering commitment. In his eloquent address, Principal Dr. S. Prashant Vasudev enraptured the audience, emphasizing the profound significance of the day in the school’s narrative. Furthermore, long-serving faculty members with over 15 years of dedication were applauded, and outstanding students received well-deserved recognition.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Arul Dharmaraj Thomas, the Principal of Al Amal Indian School, shared words of wisdom and motivation that provoked thought. Dr. Beji Jaison, the Guest of Honour, in her speech emphasized the importance of family bonding and cultivating the habit of listening to young adults. Other Special Guests on the occasion were Sr. Christy Maria, Principal, Carmel School Khaitan, Sr. Saritha Monteiro, VicePrincipal, Carmel School Khaitan, Mr. Anoop Kumar Sharma, Principal, New Gulf Indian School and Mrs. Ambika Sreekumar, Vice Principal, New Gulf Indian School.

The evening reached its pinnacle with mesmerizing cultural performances, infusing the celebration with vibrant energy and cultural richness. Head Boy Fraizner Fenil concluded the event with heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the collective efforts that rendered the celebration unforgettable.
