Third and final phase of the scorpion season kicks off Monday
The Al-Ujairi Scientific Center announced that the third and final phase of the scorpion season, marking the concluding chapter of winter, will commence, Monday. The center elucidated that during these days, we bid adieu to winter without necessarily bidding farewell to the chill, marking the onset of the transition towards spring.
In its statement, the center highlighted the distinctive feature of this period: the erratic weather patterns and temperature fluctuations oscillating between low and high. This period is also characterized by what is colloquially termed as “the old woman’s cold,” wherein individuals experience a relative chill following warmer days. This phenomenon prompts some to hastily discard their winter attire in favor of lighter clothing to embrace the mild temperatures, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Furthermore, the center indicated that the length of the day will gradually increase, with daytime temperatures surpassing those of the night until equilibrium is reached, signaling the advent of longer days, expected after mid-March.
