Minister Al-Mashaan tours Beijing to explore latest ports in China

The Minister of Public Works led a high-level Kuwaiti delegation to Beijing for the World Sustainable Transport Forum Summit, focusing on bilateral meetings and advancing the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project.

The visit also included tours of various remote control centers at Chinese seaports, showcasing the latest world-class technologies and equipment.

Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works, led a high-level Kuwaiti delegation to Beijing for the World Sustainable Transport Forum Summit. The agenda includes several bilateral meetings, visits to China’s latest ports, and discussions at the headquarters of a state-owned company to advance the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project, according to Q8-Press.

During her visit to China, the Minister of Public Works held several meetings with Chinese ministers, senior officials, and international officials from organizations in the field to discuss cooperation and experience exchange.

Upon arriving in Beijing, Al-Mashaan began a field tour of the Port of Tianjin, China’s newest port, which operates with a fully automated system. The visit also included tours of various remote control centers at Chinese seaports, showcasing the latest world-class technologies and equipment. Additionally, the minister and her accompanying delegation visited government laboratories specializing in industrial wave production and soil treatment.

The delegation accompanying the Minister of Public Works includes Ambassador Sameeh Essa Johar Hayat, the Assistant Secretary of State for Asian Affairs, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Jasem Ibrahem Al-Najem; the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works for the Control and Audit Sector, Eng. Ayman Al-Moussawi; the Director General of the Roads and Land Transport Authority, Eng. Khaled Al-Osimi; senior officials from the Ministries of Public Works and Foreign Affairs; and members of the Kuwaiti Embassy in China.
