Kuwait Municipality met with a World Bank delegation to discuss streamlining and digitizing building permit procedures. They also explored ways to strengthen cooperation in support of sustainable development goals, according to Q8-Press.
The municipality stated in a press release that the meeting covered business location determination, challenges, and needs related to building permits and property registration. The system for issuing building permits and the adopted electronic procedures were also presented.
It was explained during the meeting how reports are generated through the automated system, the time required to complete the electronic procedures, and the necessary documents.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed the mechanisms for submitting grievances, related environmental procedures, the role of advisory offices, and ways to gather feedback from beneficiaries.
The meeting was attended by a team of government agencies responsible for building permits, led by Salah Al-Rashidi. The World Bank delegation included Christian De la Medina Soto, Mohamed Baidar, and Ravi Gupta.
