The Holy See congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National & Liberation days

On behalf of the Holy See, I have the honor to congratulate His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince, the government and all the people of Kuwait on the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the National Day and the 34th anniversary of the Liberation Day.
The example that the Kuwaiti people, throughout its history, has offered to the world through its development, traditions, values and the human warmth of each of its citizens and authorities, is a cause for admiration. Family values and religious tolerance are respected. Furthermore, I am delighted to learn that Kuwait has been designated the Arab Capital of Culture and Media for 2025.
It is a joy to see these days how the whole country is filled with pride and a spirit of celebration through the numerous cultural events being held throughout the country and which manifest the prosperity of its people who cheer for freedom.
As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, I look forward to continuing the strengthening of cultural and religious relations with Kuwait in a way that enhances interreligious dialogue and fraternity.
May the close and friendly ties between the Holy See and Kuwait, of which we have been proud for the past 56 years, continue to strengthen in the future and may Almighty God continue to bestow divine blessings of peace and joy upon Kuwait and all its citizens.
