The British School of Kuwait hosts the Annual British Academies Carnival
On the vibrant evening of December 7th, The British School of Kuwait (BSK) came alive with excitement and creativity as it held its highly anticipated annual event, the British Academies Carnival.
The event was graced by prominent figures, including Madam Vera, the esteemed Founder of BSK, His Excellency Eduardo Patricio, the Mexican Ambassador along with his wife, and Mr. Kefah Al-Mutawa, BSK’s Director of Media Affairs.
Their opening speeches highlighted the carnival’s importance in fostering arts, sports, and cultural enrichment, setting an inspiring tone for the festivities.
Spanning six hours, from noon to 6 PM, the carnival was a showcase of talent, energy, and imagination. Attendees were treated to a variety of captivating performances, including theatrical performance, piano recitals, ballet showcases, and an array of sports activities such as roller-skating, gymnastics, and karate.
These activities spotlighted student talent and encouraged skill development. The evening’s highlights included a dazzling LED light dance, a magical bubble show, and a jaw-dropping dinosaur-themed performance sponsored by National Geographic Ultimate Explorer, adding a unique layer of excitement and wonder.
BSK’s Marketing Director, Manaf Yousef, emphasized the carnival’s pivotal role in uniting the school community and enhancing student well-being. “The British Academies Carnival is a cornerstone event for us, celebrating achievement, creativity, and the diversity of our school community,” he remarked.
He noted that the carnival offered a rich entertainment program suitable for all ages, featuring live sports and arts performances and recreational activities. The venue was thoughtfully divided into three zones: the activity area(featuring student and guest performances), the vendor area, and the food area, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
The success of the British Academies Carnival 2024 was made possible through the generous support of its platinum sponsors, Royale Hayat Hospital and Diet Care, as well as contributions from Al Muzaini Exchange, Shoebox New York, Albatross General Trading and Contracting, National Geographic Ultimate Explorer, ITL World Travels, and Anderson Education.
