Tenders less than one million dinars to be offered directly through the authority
The proposal, which is being studied by the Central Authority for Public Tenders, aims to speed up the workflow and simplify procedures according to specific and clear rules.

• According to statistics, about forty percent of the tenders currently managed by the Central Authority for Public Tenders are worth less than one million dinars.
The Central Authority for Public Tenders is reviewing a proposal to limit its role to issuing and awarding tenders valued over one million dinars, rather than the current threshold of 75,000 dinars, informed sources told Al-Rai newspaper.
The sources explained that “the proposal, which is being studied by the authority in preparation for submission to the Council of Ministers, aims to speed up the workflow and simplify procedures according to specific and clear rules. This would make the authority responsible for proposing and awarding tenders of government entities worth one million dinars and above, while tenders below that amount would be managed by the relevant authorities, allowing the authority’s Board of Directors to focus on high-value tenders.”
The sources noted that, according to statistics, about fortypercent of the tenders currently managed by the authority are worth less than one million dinars.
