Tender issued for Phase IV expansion of Al-Subbiya power plant

The Central Agency for Public Tenders announced today, Sunday, the launch of a tender for the supply, installation, operation, and maintenance of combined cycle gas turbine units to boost the electrical capacity at Al-Subbiya Power Plant (Phase IV) by 900 megawatts.

The agency set the tender’s closing date for one month from the date of issuance, with a preliminary meeting scheduled for May 11, according to Al-Rai daily.

Informed sources revealed that the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, is eager to expedite the tender and award processes for this vital project to strengthen the ministry’s production capacity over the coming years.
