Temporary committee formed to manage farmers federation

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Youssef, issued a decision No. (5) of 2025, to form a temporary committee to manage the Kuwait Farmers Federation, based on the issuance of final judicial rulings to cancel the Board of Directors, until new elections are held in accordance with the provisions of the law and the organizing regulations.

According to the decision, the committee shall undertake the following tasks in accordance with Article (3) of Ministerial Resolution No. (3) of 2025 — manage urgent administrative and financial matters, collect subscriptions from members, prepare and update lists of members who meet the conditions for membership and voting rights, call for a general assembly meeting, and supervise nomination and election procedures in accordance with laws and regulations, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The Committee shall hold its meetings at the invitation of the Chairman or his Deputy. The meeting shall be deemed valid if at least half of the members are present, in addition to the Chairman or his Deputy.
The decisions are issued by majority vote. In the event of a tie, the chairman’s vote shall prevail.

The committee shall also prepare a detailed report on all its work and present it to the first general assembly for approval.

It shall then be submitted to the relevant minister. This decision shall be effective from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
