Telecommunications Authority mandates clear roaming packages, fixed prices

The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) emphasized on its official Instagram page that mobile telecommunications service providers must offer data roaming services through clearly defined packages with specific pricing and data limits. It also prohibited charging customers based on capacity consumption outside these designated packages.

In its statement, CITRA emphasized that international roaming services should only be provided upon receiving a specific request from the subscriber. This request must be submitted separately from requests for international roaming calls and other telecommunications services through available communication channels, such as call centers, websites, applications, or service branches.
