TEF Kuwait holds technical inaugural event for 2026

The Tamil Nadu Engineers Forum (TEF) Kuwait organized its Technical Inaugural Event for 2026 on January 14 at Park Inn by Radisson, Mahboula, bringing together engineers, industry experts and professionals for technical knowledge sharing and innovation.

The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dhari Al-Ajmi, a renowned cybersecurity specialist and entrepreneur, who delivered a keynote address on “Future Trends in Operational Technology (OT) – Cybersecurity.” His presentation offered valuable insights into emerging cyber risks and strategies for strengthening digital resilience across industrial systems.

The program opened with a welcome address by Stanley, General Secretary of TEF Kuwait, who greeted the gathering and highlighted the forum’s continued commitment to professional excellence, technical advancement and community engagement.

Rajendra Kannan, President of TEF Kuwait, delivered the Presidential Address, formally launching TEF’s technical activities for the year. He reflected on the forum’s journey since its establishment in 1999 and reiterated its sustained focus on technical development and industry relevance.

Outlining TEF’s technical vision for 2026, the president emphasized continuous learning, modernization, safety and best practices. He also announced the flagship Technological Innovations Conference & Exposition (TICE), scheduled for October 1, 2026, which is expected to attract more than 600 delegates from the oil, petrochemical, power and water sectors.

The inaugural event featured two technical sessions. The first, titled “From Legacy to Reliable: Enhancing Safety of Old MV Switchgear as per Latest IEC Norms,” was delivered by Avanish Srivastava, Specialist – R&D (MV Switchgear), Eaton Power Distribution Services. The second session, “Auditing and Assessment of Infrastructure and Building Utilities,” was presented by R. Kalaimony of Amith Civil & Allied Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd.

Marking the beginning of TEF’s 27th year, the technical inaugural event set a strong benchmark for the forum’s programs planned for 2026. TEF expressed its appreciation to the speakers, sponsors, partners and members for their continued support.

The event concluded with networking and professional interaction among participants.
