TEF-2025 hosts ‘2nd Technical Seminar’ & ‘Walkathon’ finale promoting innovation and wellness

The Tamil Nadu Engineers Forum (TEF-Kuwait) successfully held its second Technical Seminar on Thursday, 20th February 2025, at the Millennium Hotel in Salmiya. The momentum continued the next morning, Friday, 21st February 2025, with the grand finale of TEF-2025 Walkathon at Al Sahel Sports Club in Abuhalifa.

The technical seminar featured an insightful Legal Awareness session for NRIs by Mrs. A.S. Divya, Advocate at the Madras High Court, followed by an engaging Q&A session. The second session showcased a compelling Technical Presentation by Mr. Vijay Kumar Budhlani, Chief Operating Officer of Technical Sales at Dembla Valves Ltd., titled “Value Visionaries: Innovators Shaping the Future of Flow Control.”

A key highlight of the event was the presence of esteemed Special Guest Mr. R. Gnanasekaran, an Asian Gold Medalist and Arjuna Awardee. Renowned for his achievements at the 1978 Asian Games in Bangkok, where he won a silver medal in the 100m and gold in the 200m, Mr. Gnanasekaran captivated the audience with inspiring anecdotes from his journey, underscoring the significance of determination and perseverance in achieving success.

The TEF committee members honored the distinguished guests and presenters with shawls, garlands, and mementos, expressing their appreciation for their valuable contributions to the event.

The much-anticipated TEF-2025 Walkathon Finale took place the next morning at Al Sahel Sports Club. Despite the breezy weather, a large number of TEF members and their families gathered enthusiastically as the event kicked off at 6:30 AM.

Furthermore, Mr. Gnanasekaran once again graced the occasion, delivering an inspiring speech titled “Feel the Motivation of Walking.”

Earlier, TEF had launched a 26-day Walkathon competition to motivate its members to adopt healthier walking habits. During the finale, winners were selected based on their daily step count averages, and Mr. Gnanasekaran personally presented them with awards, inspiring all participants to continue leading an active and healthy lifestyle.

Both events; the Technical Seminar and the TEF-2025 Walkathon, were seamlessly organized by the TEF 2025 committee members, marking yet another successful initiative by TEF-Kuwait in promoting technical excellence, community engagement, and wellness among its members.
