Technological advancement, readiness drive National Guard’s 2030 Vision

The Chief of the National Guard, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, launched the National Guard’s fourth strategic plan (2030) under the slogan “Protecting the Nation.” He praised the preparation team for their dedication to achieving the Guard’s vision of excellence through leadership, readiness, and professionalism.

Undersecretary Lieutenant General Eng. Hashem Al-Rifai highlighted the continuity of strategic planning, initiated by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad, as a foundation of institutional excellence, according to Al-Anba daily.

He stressed the importance of loyalty, justice, readiness, and professionalism in fulfilling the National Guard’s role in national defense and supporting state agencies. He also thanked the team behind the plan and urged commanders to focus on technological development to sustain leadership and excellence.

On behalf of the planning team, Colonel Azzam Suleiman Abdulrahman emphasized that the strategy defines the National Guard as a high-level protection and support force. The plan is built around five pillars:

  • Capabilities – Enhancing military, security, administrative, technical, and medical readiness.
  • Cooperation and Integration – Expanding ties with international bodies and state institutions.
  • Technological Development – Promoting the adoption of modern technologies.
  • Sustainability – Ensuring continuous support capabilities.
  • Infrastructure and Projects – Developing and maintaining facilities to support operations.
