Technical committee refers land use amendment proposal to Municipality

The Technical Committee of the Municipal Council, chaired by Eng. Munira Al-Amir, has decided to return a proposal submitted by seven members — Saud Al-Kandari, Fahd Al-Abduljader, Abdullah Al-Enezi, Waleed Al-Dagher, Nasser Al-Jadaan, Naser Al-Azmi, and Fahd Abdullah Al-Khunin — to the municipality’s executive body for further review.

The proposal concerns amending the Council’s decision approving the change of use from investment housing with commercial facades to full commercial use.

The committee requested that the response be updated in line with the discussions held during the meeting, reports Al-Rai daily.

In the same session, the committee granted final approval for the reorganization of two plots in Block 8 of Jabriya. It also rejected a proposal from Council Chairman Abdullah Al-Mahri seeking to add café licenses to existing restaurant licenses in investment-use areas.

Additionally, the committee reviewed a letter submitted by a company regarding a request to expand storage space in plots located in the Al-Ardhiya area.
