Eng. Eng. Mohammed Al-Khalidi, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Facilities and Planning at the Ministry of Education, announced that the sector swiftly met all requirements for the new school year. This included completing essential maintenance and installing air conditioning units in classrooms, according to Al Jarida newspaper.

He highlighted that the work was accomplished through the cooperation and coordination of all departments and sections, as well as the dedicated efforts of the sector’s engineers, administrators, and employees, who worked tirelessly to improve conditions in schools compared to previous years.

Al-Khalidi made these remarks during an honoring ceremony organized by the Educational Facilities and Planning Sector to recognize distinguished workers, including engineers, supervisors, and administrators, who contributed to the preparations for the 2024/2025 academic year.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all employees, particularly administrators and engineers, for their collaboration and hard work in preparing for the upcoming academic year, noting that these accomplishments were the result of the collective efforts of all departments and administrations within the sector.

Al-Khalidi also emphasized that the facilities sector operates with a team spirit, which he credited as the key to their success and progress. He explained that any project begins with planning, then moves through contracts and specifications in the design and contracts department, followed by implementation through the projects department. Finally, the building or project is handed over to the engineering affairs departments in the educational districts, which are responsible for its maintenance and sustainability.

He noted that a goal and vision will be established for the sector through its affiliated departments to improve and enhance the services provided to schools and the ministry as a whole. He emphasized the importance of measuring performance indicators and satisfaction with these services, expressing his hope that the work in the upcoming academic year will stand out compared to the previous one.
